It appears my dog was not taken out to use the restroom and in turn pooped and peed in my car within 5 minutes. She came in for an appointment at 10:30 and I picked her up after a sedated nail trim at 1:15. I would appreciate knowing this will never happen again. She should have been given a chance to go outside after she awoke and I cannot believe she did.

I have never been treated so well. From the moment we arrived, the staff went out of their way to make us welcomed and comfortable. . Dr Carlton was the best I have ever seen. We just moved to Buda and so glad we came to meet this wonderful people. Thanks and God bless them, Bonnie Ruiz

I called ahead to verify the canine flu vaccine was available at the Kyle location. The receptionist confirmed it was so I went ahead with the scheduled appointment. After arriving and waiting in the room, I was told it was not available and I was told incorrectly. Due to her mistake, it was a waste of my time in leaving work and taking my dog in as I could have done the vaccines all together in 1 location. I am very frustrated with this and am not sure I will return to your office.

I was extremely pleased with this office. They got me in same day, as a new patient, I might add. When I arrived they were so kind a accomadating. I had to drop my pup off so I could get to work and the doc called just to let me know how the exam went. My pup does not like getting dropped off anywhere. In fact he goes nuts. However, here he started to but then calmed down which is so unusual for him. When my husband picked him up same thing. He usually goes nuts then too but nothing. That alone makes this vet our new vet.

It was a great experience with our new puppy, I have already told my mom about it even though she sees another vet. The only thing id recommend is when I was told my pup needed some antibiotics instead of being told the price and if that was feesable, they just said your dog needs medicine we will get that ready for you, than finding out the price once we checked out. Not that it made the experience bad it just would have been nice for the heads up .

Staff & Dr. were great, as were the facilities. The only note I d have is about the way some of the procedures are billed &/or explained. My dog needed a lot of work which cost quite a bit. There were items like stool sample analysis which I wasn t able to provide that day, but was still billed for. Obviously, I could have opted out when I saw it but I say this simply as a customer service experience recommendation, it would have just been nice if it had been broken out into columns/categories of What You Need Today vs What We Need From You Soon, But isn t Actually Happening Today is all. Everything was great & above board, this is just a small recommendation I d make based on 20 years in marketing & user/client acquisition is all. That very small caveat/suggestion aside, great place! Our new dog was very happy & so was I. I ll be bringing all our pets here now.

We had such a great experience and look forward to our next visit. Dr. Pittenger addressed our concerns and took time to educate us on issues with our dog who is a little overweight. She took the time needed to gain our dog s trust who is a little shy. We love our dog very much and she made us feel good about our care-taking skills. She was very tactful in letting us know that our dog needed to loose ten pounds and explained thoroughly how we were going to accomplish this goal. We took our other dog to the appointment because he has separation anxiety and the staff was very understanding. Another thing I loved was the full length window in the exam room for our dogs to look out while we were waiting. It makes the time go by faster when there s something to look at. I also loved that there were no exam tables. We all sat on the floor with my dog and got down on her level. This seemed to lessen her anxiety and we felt like we were friends visiting in a home. We will definitely tell our friends and neighbors about our wonderful experience at Firehouse Animal Health Center.

Our pet died that day, but yet because we were new patients we were offered a bottle of wine. This really bothered me. I understand that this is what you do for new patients, and that is very nice. But in this case it did not seem appropriate.
