My dog Rhys had a stick lodged between his back teeth and was very distressed. When I called Dundas West I was quite stressed. I was seen right away. Every single person from the moment I called to the moment I took Rhys home treated me with incredible care and kindness. I am incredibly grateful for Dundas West Animal Hospital, and share this recommendation with any pet owner I meet. <3

My dog was reactive to having a nail trim which granted he has become differently sensitive and anxious in his older years. But what I noticed is the technician was stressed when she came out to get him and when she took him in she pulled against his resistance and never paused to address his obvious fear. She later came out without my dog in what appeared to me to be in great distress, clearly her nervous system was dysregulated (perhaps training is needed in that area) and asked me if my dog has ever take a certain drug before. Because he s a greyhound and the level of obvious distress the technician was exhibiting I jumped to the conclusion some drug had been administered and he wasn t ok. I asked what happened, where is my dog? She explained further - he was scared, shook, whined, pulled - but I didn t understand why we were discussing how distressed my dog was but he wasn t brought out to me. I asked that she get him which she did. I understand he may need the support of medication for future nail trims. But this is the first time this has happened in the approx 9 years he s been with the clinic. What I know about my dog is if the person handling him is stressed and not calm, he will get more stressed out. I calm him by breathing deeply, calming myself and being playful with him. I don t think he got that kind of calming care. thank you

I have been to two different vet clinics in the Bloor West area, until I have found Dundas West Animal Hospital and they are exceptional. They are outstanding in providing the best care to your pets. It’s not only a local business. There is passion for what they do. My pet’s doctor is Randy Do. I feel extremely glad to have found such a great professional and team.

We felt in good hands at the clinic. The veterinarian was very professional and thorough, explained everything and was very transparent about the costs and provided with the best options to deal with our cat’s issues. We will definitely come back to the clinic for further appointments.

We are so happy with our first visit. We felt like our dog was very well taken care of and all our questions were answered. We were greeted warmly but the front desk and then the vet tech and vet were absolutely lovely with her. Thank you for making us feel so confident in the care our dog will get at your practice.
