I love Gem City Vet! I have brought my cats to this clinic for years. Any vet that they have seen has been wonderful, caring and has worked hard for my cats. The staff are friendly and compassionate, whether it’s the vets themselves, the vet techs or the people running the show up front. My only complaint is that this is a busy clinic, which is probably indicative of its popularity, so sometimes you have to wait a little bit for your appointment. With that said, it’s worth it.

We are extremely happy with Dr. Gill and all her endless hard work to help us. Our 15 month Black lab has been going thru a very difficult time right now and Dr. Gill has gone over and above to help us. All the staff has always been very helpful and polite. Great place to take your families best friend.

Aside from this appointment, I have called Gem City several times with concerns for my pet. I was met with kindness, understanding, and professionalism each time, especially at times when I was panicking (and admittedly curt) on the phone. I cannot express how much I appreciated Gem City staff s help and guidance. Thank you!

I know that working with COVID-19 has made things difficult for you. I purposefully arrived 5 minutes early and called to let you know I was in the parking lot. Someone answered and asked to put me on hold. 15 minutes later they finally picked up my call. All I needed to do was tell you I had arrived, and perhaps I could have gotten inside sooner. As it was, I waited in my car for 35 minutes. Many people who had pulled in after I did were helped before me. It was just a little frustrating, especially considering I have a pet who gets rather anxious about going to the vet anyway!

We were very happy with the quality of the procedure preformed by Dr Gill. She was also very open to explaining what was done and thourogh in answering our questions. The reason for a 3 for our wait time was because she had an emergency call right before our appmt. Which we are very understanding with. Our satisfaction with Gem is a 10. Thank you.

I understand the need for extra precautions for Covid-19 and support it fully. However, I am extremely disappointed that my dog did not see the vet I had scheduled her with. I have a very specific reason for why I want my dog to see a particular vet. I am also annoyed that I didn t even get to talk to the new vet at all about the appointment or my dog s history. In the future, if you are going to have an animal see a vet that was not requested, you should get an ok with the owners first. I know you are all extremely busy and I love Gem City Vet and I am a dedicated customer but I am very angry about my dogs not seeing the vet I made the appt. with. Especially when I waited for an appointment to see her. This is the second time this has happened. That being said, I do appreciate all you have done in the past for all of my pets.

I feel a little disappointed in how Gem City has changed . When it was small you felt like the vet had known you forever and seemed quite interested and concerned for your animal but now it is so much hustle bustle and the lack of concern. I guess this is what happens when a business grows so big and have so many workers and clients the common down to earth interaction is gone. You are complete strangers just getting a job done and move on to the next, even more worse is if your not wealthy or have expensive animals (I m in good standing and always paid my account} you are told what could be the next step but minds are changed . My suggestion would be TRY to go back to old ways of treating clients you dont realize how far that goes when you feel like a somebody rather than just another hurry up get em out so I can get to next one.And when you have more vets everyone needs to be on same page on how far to go and teatment of an animal

Please make the drop off in the parking lot more efficient. I called in at 7:30, got the message machine, with no results, so had to call in again at 8:00. Maybe a bigger notice with advice to keep trying to call until a human is reached.

Sent home with two medications, but not told if or when pet had been given any, to determine time for dosage. Our dog was given an allergy shot without agreement or permission. This was frustrating and inappropriate. Better communication needed.

I love Dr. Murray. And I really appreciate Sandy at the desk. I have had excellent service since I first started taking my cat to Gem City. It feels like family to me. I do wish that all staff wold wear face coverings now when in the main reception area. Some were and some were not. Margaret Haydon
