We love lockport animal hospital

My last two visits I have waited a very long time. On 7/30 I waited an hour and on 8/11 I waited 45 minutes to be seen. I do understand sometimes things cause delays in appointment times but these wait times are extreme. Receiving a phone call prior to appt time that the vet is running behind would be nice. My animals have been patients at this practice since 2007, and we have never normally waited like this. It made me wonder if something is going on- simply being told that wait times are longer than normal when making appts would be nice if that is the case. Spending literal hours for a 15 minute appt is not particularly reasonable.

Dr. Caffarrini is always so nice and takes the time to talk with you. Never feel rushed! He even took time out to go print out an estimate for my daughter and her new puppy on vaccinations to get and cost. Everyone is really so nice!

Service was excellent and I felt my cat was in good hands (the cat even admitted he was well taken care of and the visit wasn t too bad).

I appreciate the staff got us in the same day for my dogs injury, I am upset about the treatment. We brought in our dog for a leg injury. The vet did X-rays and told us it was a level 4 shoulder dislocation . He would need a orthopedic surgeon. He tried getting the should back in and it kept slipping out . We called back later with questions. Asking for a call back. Vet NEVER called back and then was out of the office on Friday. We took our pet to the ER that Friday morning after hearing he was out for the day. Our dog in fact DID NOT have a dislocated shoulder. He over medicated our pet. We saw the new X-rays and the shoulder was in place. They did leg. Shoulder. Scapula. Everything looked good. He costed us an additional $575 for the ER visit. Never needed an orthopedic surgeon. He tried popping his shoulder back in place that was NOT popped out. How do I know he didn t cause more pain and damage by such treatment? We saw the X-rays he did. They were not clear! Why not sedate him to get a clear picture? And if that s not possible to be done at your location we should ve been informed of that. Very disappointed. Although Jana at your front desk was very helpful with assisting us getting us information we didn t need. I do appreciate her.

Would like to comment on Becky and Suzy. Lockport is lucky to have these two employees. Can t say enough about these two ladies. Always makes time for me on the phone or in person. They both don t just go threw the motions but threw their heart. Both very comforting. Love them both. Lynn Snyder

Bills are always 400-500 dollars. Getting to expensive for us to come

This was my 1st visit here and I was really struggling with my dog. The Dr. and nurse were so kind to me and really listened to what I had to say. So glad to have found this vet!

Rory s appt was for a nail trim only. Appt. is made a month in advance, so Rory & I have no complaints....Thank you. I have heard from other pet owners in IL, IN, & WI that there is a shortage of veterinarians. Unfortunately, even established clients are forced to find alternate care for their pets. So sad.

Dr Caffarini and his entire staff are absolutely wonderful!

I was told my dog needed surgery to remove rocks. Got a second opinion and he had sepsis and leukemia

My dog has been there several times for shots only. It takes an hour. Every time the reason for the wait is an emergency by another patient. ..all the time?

Dr. Caffarini is a very thorough veterinarian, excellent clinitian. He and his staff treated our cats effeciently and most importantly in a kind and compassionate manner.

We waited for over 45 minutes in the room with no explanation. I stuck my head out see if someone could help me understand why I was waiting so long. They said it would be another 25 minutes. There was an emergency and I understand that, but being informed would have been extremely appreciated
