I arrived with five dogs and there was quite a wait. When the assistant came out to get my first dog she apologized for the wait and explained they were short staffed that day. It happens. When she returned my first dog I could see she was visibly upset. I asked if she was okay and she said they had two euthanasias that afternoon. I can’t imagine how upsetting that is on a daily basis. I let her know I was fine and knew they were doing the best they could. When the doctor came out, she too, apologized for the wait. I let her know too that I was fine … at least I was taking all mine home. It was a tough day and they handled it with grace and compassion.

Dr.Shauna and her team took great care of my Bentley. I was upset when I dropped him off and the staff reassured me that he would be okay. The staff at RVH are always professional and so caring. That means a lot because our fur babies are our family. I appreciate how they continued to take care of our babies during the pandemic. You guys ROCK !!!! Keep up the good work. Only reason I gave 4 stars on wait time was because you are still not allowing pet owners to wait in your lobby. It was pretty hot sitting in the car in the direct sun for almost an hour.

Question No. 6: This was a visit during COVID so I understandably could not enter the building to see the office facilities. Overall, it was an overall excellent experience. Staff is very professional, and listens and explains things well.

We have been using Rutherford Vet for 20 plus years. Every one is alway professional and things are explained well. They always get you on fast if you have an emergency

I am really looking forward to the time when at least one pet parent can go into the office during the exam. Even if we have to wait in our car until being called in and leave directly after the exam. Hopefully that time will come soon. Dr Walker was wondering though in spending enough time to explain things to us, even while standing in the rain.
