Megan at the front desk was wonderful as was the tech who roomed us, but I was very disappointed with Dr. Boss. I brought in 2 new kittens and was so excited to have their checkup. Instead Dr. Boss focused on the kittens exposure to our other cat at home who is very sweet but has FIV. She insisted we run an FIV on the kittens even though they had not been exposed to our cat or any other cats (because they were in foster care due to the humane society being closed). She said we could get a vaccine if I had them tested- but did not give me a cost) I agreed. But, once they did the test, she said she could not get the vaccine. So I just paid for an expensive test that was not necessary. So my free first visit which should have cost me one immunization for each kitten cost me over $400. Worse, I never received an introductory binder like I got for my older cats, instead she gave me a read out on FIV. It was offensive how obsessed she was with our other cat s FIV instead of these 2 new precious kittens.

I have no complaints about the service. But I do feel the pricing is bothersome. I was charged overhead fees for the visit which essentially DOUBLED the price of the exam fee, and I think that is a bad business practice. Also, when I decided to try a single Symparica for my dog Bowie who has stomach issues, a sample was not available even though my other dog Rita had a sample when she first tried it. So I said I would take one to try even if there was not a sample. It was $33 for ONE PILL! That is outlandish! Also, when I got a surgical estimate for my dog last year, there were a variety of optional services to add fees. My feeling is, if you feel something is the best way to proceed with a dog, then DO THAT and bill for it, don t have it as an add-on. Basically it was like, well how much do you care about your dog? This much? or THIS much? It gives me a bad taste in my mouth. I am a business person also, and I offer the best product I know is appropriate for the situation, and charge a fee for it. Don t do the nickel and diming thing it just makes you look bad.

The staff is always so accommodating about helping me get Emma Lou into the clinic and back out to the car - I really appreciate the help! And we saw Dr. Ripperger, as Dr. Paige was away at a conference - she was very knowledgeable about Emma s past joint problems and I felt very confident in her treatment plan. Keep up the great work - always glad to know you are there to help!!

Dr Paige was fantastic as always, Chief is a big boy and there is a lot of real estate to cover but that doesn t deter Dr Paige, she still does a very thorough job. Dr Paige is a Major asset to the veterinary profession, Thank you for taking such good care of my boy!!

I can t believe how expensive it is at this clinic. I paid almost $300 for a visit with a technician and when I had a question for the Vet, I was told if I wanted it answered, I would be charged for a visit from the Vet. I find that horribly offensive and impersonal. I will consider moving my pet because I m not used to such care. I like to see a Vet when I come to a clinic. I like to know that my questions will be addressed. I like to know that I can interact at a professional level with the DOCTOR and I will pay for THAT!

Dr. Page was very nice. I think she took a good deal of time checking Candy out for sneezing with lot of blood coming out of her nose. I find it odd that only one nostril is involved. When I asked Olivia when she called why they didn t sedate the dog a little and look up her nose with a nasal scope, she told me you didn t have one in the office. I was surprised because every doctor you see - even your internist looks up your nose with a scope. She suggested Blue pearl, but every time I went there is was almost always $900-$1000. From beginning to end of Casey s illness, I spent $ 6,000. I can t afford to do that again. Or even take a culture from her nose and see what they find. She is on 2 antibiotics for 1 week and really the bloody sneezing has continued. Thank you for listening. Karen Maihofer

Loved everything about our visit!

Everyone was so sweet and helpful! I felt very comfortable asking questions because this is my first pet. The vet and assistants were thorough and I didn’t feel rushed with them at all.

The exam table was clean but the floor and bench in the exam room were covered in hair from a previous patient. It was kind of gross.

We were unable to get Mia to take the calming med before her vet visit. Mia gets very emotional when visiting the Vet but she put her best paw forward and was kept comfortable with the pleasant staff at Good Friends. Thank you for taking such good care of our girl Mia.

We had a minor emergency with our dog and even though we didn’t have an appointment, the staff was very accommodating getting our dog in

I am absolutely thrilled, specifically with Kaley’s doctor and the clinic in general. I was very apprehensive in regard to the initial visit. From the minute we walked into the clinic, I felt my stress melt away. Every single person in the clinic was so very kind and patient. Dr. Boss was wonderful to deal with. She was extremely knowledgeable and very caring in her treatment of Kaley. She took a great deal of time explaining Kaley’s present and possible future health issues to me. She answered all of my questions. I will definitely be recommending Best Friends to all of my friends.

The services are second to None... amazing staff, friendly, knowledgeable, always on the front end of care and very rarely only reactionary. Some services are a bit more pricey than expected and could push members to look for outside services. Overall and outstanding clinic and Vets that are above and beyond the call
