I had to answer NA because we did not see the Doc. But our experience was pleasant. I also made my apt online and did not speak to anyone to make it.

Everyone was so pleasant. I mentioned I was going to go buy a Thundershirt after our visit and the receptionist politely mentioned that you had them there also. They were the same price as Amazon and the pet store and you had her size. Such a big help. As a side note the results of her using Thundershirt during storms and fireworks have been remarkable. She s about 75% to 80% better. Thanks for the great care for Gretchen and for having the shirt priced at retail. Sharon Techel.

Dr Ackler & his team are Great! We tell everyone to use this facility. We brought our brand new puppy in for her very first vet check, and when Doc gave her the vaccine, she never even noticed! He is that good! We will never use another vet.

The multiple (3) vaccinations/injections left our cat feeling very out -of- sorts for 24 hours. No appetite, lethargic, acted like he hurt all over . Wondering if we should have spaced the feline distemper and 3-yr rabies vaccines by a few weeks. (Sorry about the cat-scratch! Guess he d had enough ...)

We did not see get. We boarded & had yearly vaccines & decal test. Office was short staffed making accurate evaluation difficult. There was not enough space to keep dogs separate. Clients did not short leash pets creating a risky situation. Recommend lower drop off & pick up for boarders to relieve pressure on main desk.

The kitty that I brought in was scheduled for a declawing operation. That is why N/A responses to questions 10-13 as I did not see Dr. Ackler until picking up Lily. He was talking to another couple, but when done he took the time to introduce himself and stated that everything had gone well with Lily. I like the personal touch and caring of the entire staff. Thank you.

I have had nothing but great experiences with the office. Everyone is always friendly and caring. My big 93 pound Mama s boy gets very stressed when we have to make visits. Everyone, including Dr. Ackler, were very understanding and accommodating.

I thought it was very odd but I never did see or talk to a doctor, only a tech person! I think it would be nice to have interaction and communication with a doctor and I never did before, during or after. I was worried about Kendal the night after the surgery for I was scared she was not going to make it thru the night, just seemed so out-of-it and like she was dying or similar...but just watched her closely, allowed her rest and she was better in the morning. I have had vets who have called later that night of surgery and or next morning and that would have been nice to do....usually that is when there are complications, troubles and questions! I have been going to Mancelona veterinary for as long as I can remember, Dr. Ackler and his staff have always been very courteous and professional. I live in an area where there are other vets that are much closer to where I live, but I choose to travel the extra to have my pets in their care.

Normally our dog get their Nails trimmed at each appointment. Neither of our dogs nails we trimmed. Not a big issue, but a challange for me ?
