The appointment for shots and check-up took 1 1/2 hours which was too long. I don t know if the current protocol for the pandemic or staffing issues were the cause for the long delay, but the experience was unsatisfactory and not what I had experienced in the past.

Waited almost an hour past the time of my appointment to be seen. Not like I walked in without an appointment. Should advise clients when they check in it will be an hour. Very stressful to sit in car with a screaming cat for an hour

Communication between staff seems lacking - I had to explain things to several different people at the last visit. And waiting time has been inexplicably long at both visits. Perhaps you need to schedule fewer patients? Talking to Dr. Kim is always great. It would be better if I didn t have to try to communicate through several staff before explaining things again to her! I live close by, and if they are running late, I d rather keep my cat at home till they are ready, especially because we can t go in with her.

Thank you all for accomodating the needs of pet owners during these times. I know due to the new practices in place for safety and how busy OPH is, contacting the patient s parent is difficult. However, when there s a question to treatment especially when when administering new medicine, there should be some follow through. My pet is not responding very well to the medicine, vomiting (which she does not do) So I decided to call. I was told by the technician that answered that the veterinarian was busy,not the veterinarian who actually treated my pet, and probably would not be able to return my call. But if I wanted to make an appointment for the next day.... Alrighty then. So I had to make a judgement call to discontinue the use of the medication. I just did as was told upon the end of the initial visit - to call if there are any concerns or if something develops. So much for that.

The male tech that I spoke with on the phone and who handed Classic back to me was very thorough. Asked pertinent questions and did lots of fact checking. He was probably the most thorough tech, I ve dealt with at Ocean Ave Vet to date.

Under the circumstances, I am pleased with my appointment and wait time. I called in the morning and my dog was seen the same day. We had to wait a couple of hours once we were on site, but that is to be expected. Everyone was very helpful and communicatative.

The vet and staff seemed to care more about the money they make by providing services we didn’t need. They were extremely pushy in getting us to buy the more expensive puppy package, despite us informing that most of the things mentioned in the package are irrelevant to us as our puppy has already gone through those vaccines. They did a terrible job in providing explanation as well answering our questions.
