This was my first visit, and I was quite impressed. Due to Covid-19, I didn t actually meet the vet, however the visit went seamlessly, along with reading materials to keep my feathered friend happy and healthy. It was worth the two-hour trip. Recommended.

Dr. Bittner is an amazing Vet she demonstrated sincere compassion for my cat Fenton. Victoria the nurse addressed my kitten concerns before I told her them! One of the easiest and most productive visits ever!

I am so impressed with how well 2nd Street Animal Hospital cared for Thumper. The receptionists were very kind, professional, and always so quick to find me answers. I spoke with Dr. Bittner, Dr. Asklof, and Dr. Robinson-Weiss who were all so knowledgeable about rabbits. They never rushed me even though I asked a multitude of questions. The nurses (I think his were Samantha and Kerry) all treated Thumper gently and respected that he had a high level of anxiety. The team was able to accommodate my schedule and get him an appointment immediately. The only constructive comment I have is that his chemistry sample was hemolyzed, and I wish they ran another one when they got blood for the CBC. We are now unsure if his liver enzymes were elevated because the hemolysis or because he has hepatic lipidosis. Also, I think it would be a good idea to have ranitidine as part of the GI stasis protocol, instead of cisapride (or have both to choose from), because according to BSAVA Rabbit Medicine, ranitidine also works on the cecum. Overall, I am so happy that Thumper received the standard of care he deserves! It is awesome to know that such a wonderful care team is just a few miles away. I cannot thank you all enough for helping my little guy get better. Your job is not easy, but you are so appreciated!

I was very glad to get an appointment pretty quickly for my sick turtles (4-5 days), thank you. Everyone I interacted with before, during, and after my visit was very nice and helpful. I was supposed to go in to learn how to give my sick turtle injections and needed to get my temperature taken to go inside, but it was SO HOT outside, the laser thermometer said my temp was over 100 without my being sick... That meant I could not come in and they had to show me how to do it outside on the sidewalk. I was not terribly happy about that, but understand. Might I suggest an umbrella or some type of shaded area for earlier-in-the-day appointments since owners need to stand outside? I had checked a box on the paperwork that I wanted both turtles to have their nails trimmed and I don t believe that happened or was discussed. Also, I wanted to discuss details with my vet regarding the turtle tank/ basking areas and didn t really get the chance. Overall, my experience was good.

As a rescue, this was our first cat who came through you guys, and it was a major surgery that you did. We could not have been more happy with the services that Travis received. The Doctor was great about communicating to us, and the staff was beyond professional. Our experience was such a great one, that we intend to use your facility more, even though it s not terribly close to our fosters. Overall, we were so pleased with our first encounter with 2nd Street.
