I was so happy when I called for an appointment because the receptionist did everything she could to accommodate my dog for her eye issue. I was so thankful. And Dr M was so caring and loving to my dog and took a thorough look at her and gave me clear instructions. I love Surf Paws.

I needed to come in to do blood work for upcoming dental cleaning. Koa is having a problem with his nose (snorting and rattling in his nose) I thought maybe he had something (a little burr or something) stuck up his nose. I decided to turn the blood draw into an appointment to have his nose checked out. The doctor did not even look up his nose. She said if he had anything up his nose he would be sneezing. I guess I expected some sort of diagnosis (he has a cold, he is allergic to something - anything). So I paid $60 for an appointment and really didn t get anything other than the blood draw. I am not one to complain, so did not debate the charge at the time, but I felt like I did not get anything for my money and Koa is still sniffling and trying to clear his nose. I have always been happy with the service I get at Surf Paws (everyone is friendly, personable, and genuinely seem to care about my pets) and have had complete confidence in Dr M (who we normally see) but I was disappointed this time. The doctor was friendly and efficient, just didn t seem to be concerned or even curious about his nose problem. I hope that means that there is nothing to be concerned about - but it would be good to have been told that. It s just a little cold and will go away on it s own or something to that effect.

Although my dog was trembling in the car on the way to the appointment, he did fine-thanks to the friendly assistant and the doctor. He wasn t even scared when the doctor trimmed his nails!
