Felt rushed when speaking with the Vet on the phone. she never asked if I had any questions. Had to interject and be “pushy” to have my questions answered by her. This never happened with in person appointments. Same with trying to schedule next appointment when checking out— felt like the staff just wanted to get off the phone as quick as possible- I understand that feeling however it’s a customers only time and way to communicate with the staff

The staff at Reston Animal Hospital is very friendly, compassionate and professional. During this time of COVID, they have a system that works well. There was an emergency while I was waiting. I’m so grateful they were able to see my dog the same Day I called. This I believe was due to a cancelation as I was initially told it would be 5 days before I could get him in. The staff is always friendly and caring.

The staff was wonderful in every way except when they buckled Chrissy in her seat behind me, I had a hard time getting her out because of the awkward way they attached her. They put the soft fleece on her back instead of on her chest! It sure look funny. But I got her out and she seemed happy enough when she got home.

We just moved to this area. When I telephoned the office for our first visit recently, it was very difficult to hear the person who answered.I am guessing she was on a poor speaker phone, or speaks very indistinctly. The tech was fantastic when we arrived, and she put us at ease, and the doctor was excellent about taking time to explain everything to me. But my dog had a very bad reaction to the shots she got at this office. She could barely walk or use stairs for two days and was lethargic beyond anything we ve seen in her previous eight years. She cried when my daughter was petting her right back leg, which must have been where the shots were all given. When I phoned to consult the office about the decline in our dog s health, I got the same person who spoke inaudibly, with no offer for the vet to call us. We have been spoiled by great veterinary care previously. Our dog has never had a bad reaction to shots before, and because of covid-19, I was not able to be there in the office when the shots were administered. So I don t have an explanation for what happened. Our dog is now doing much better after four days.

I didn’t feel like my concerns, or my dog’s health, were taken seriously. I had an issue with my dog’s weight, and instead of expression concern or interest with what seemed to be a massive weight gain in my dog (that later proved to be equipment error), a tech said to me “I don’t know what to tell ya.”
