We just moved into Port Jervis and I would highly recommend this place. I am happy to say that me and my husband, have found the place for our fur babies to be seen. The staffs and Dr. Young are all professional and really do care about our fur babies!

I love bringing all 4 of my pets to your facility. All the doctors and techs are very knowledgeable and all staff are friendly. My only suggestion is to be sure to loudly call people who are patiently waiting to be checked out. I waited for quite some time in the waiting room because my paperwork was not up front once I was done seeing the doctor. It wasn t until I finally asked, maybe after 20-25 minutes that I was told that I was just called. However, I did not hear anyone say my pets name, neither did anyone else in the waiting room. I nicely questioned it because no one heard anything and I was told by the person that she did in fact call me several times....hmmm again no one heard anything. So maybe make those announcements loudly and toward the people who are sitting and waiting, just a thought. Again, love coming there and am thankful to have your facility so close to home.

Letting people know of wait times/over an hour wait time

The staff were very good with the dogs appointments. They were really good and knowledgeable. Also explained everything what they were doing. We have been going there over 20 yrs now.

I would like to thank Dr. Barnhorst and all the staff who have been providing quality care to my Quincy. The attentive & timely medical attention he has received has been responsible for keeping him alive & his health issues controlled, allowing him to enjoy life at 24 yrs. of age.

Re: #5 - I had an expensive blood test done on my cat. I was not told in advance how expensive it would be, so I was shocked when I got the bill. It wouldn t have changed anything; I would still have had it done, but it was a surprise.

All staff is friendly and caring.

The wait at checkout can get long especially when there are phone calls. I understand the need for front desk people to multitask, but waiting 3 people deep for 10 minutes to check out is annoying. The animals are scared and agitated which makes it seem longer. There are no real places to put the pets while checking out unless you leave them over in the waiting area which makes them more agitated. The dogs are on leashes and hopping around, but the cats are scared and spooked. I m not sure what can be done but wanted to voice my opinion.

The vet took a lot of time listening to our concerns. Vet tech is very helpful as well! We were very happy with our visit.
