Waited outside service was excellent ??

This was my first time bringing a pet to you all. I really appreciated the time you spent making sure my cat was calm and comfortable before you began his exams and tests. I was so nervous about not being able to be in there with him, but you all made me feel so much better with how nice you were to me and my cat.

I appreciated a call with the results of blood tests later the day of the appointment. I wish that the entry procedure had been explained to me before I was at the appointment. It could have been told when the I confirmed the appointment that I would not be able to go in with my cat.

Though I had told the vet information about how my pet may best be bathed so that he wouldn t snap at the tech/groomer and she told me she put a note in the file, the tech/groomer told me she did not receive this information.

The vet who spoke with me over the phone was very thorough and kind. I really liked her. The only comment I have is that my dogs each got a nail trim and the nails immediately after the trim are splitting and catching on the carpet, so I will need to file them.

It would have been Vet tech can ask if there are any more questions after dropping off my pet.

I would like to thank you for keeping my furbabies healthy.

I called after hours, because the sign on the door said that was an option for emergency care. My cat had what we thought was an allergic reaction to her shots and had to take her to the ISU small pet hospital instead. I wish we could’ve gotten service from the person we expected to be our cats vet for life.

I waited in the car which was fine. Every thing went as planned. The record of the visit however did not have Misty s present weight, was same as old record. Even the Doctor commented that she had gained as I knew she had.

I really enjoyed the process. I think it quickened the visit and worked very well for wellness visits.

The staff seemed a little rushed on the phone. I felt like I had to keep them from hanging up. Pausing for a second or two at the end of sentences would be good.

The staff did a great job despite all the changes that had to be made because of covid. The vet took time to talk to me and let me know how my cat s checkup went, and I felt like the whole appointment went very smoothly. Thank you!

Can we please continue to have the option of not having owners go in even after covid is over??? It is so convenient and I wonder if my dog behaves better without me there. Haha! The staff are doing a great job with it!!

Hard to answer during this covid issue. Everything was somewhat fine but I feel communication to the pet owner could be improved and more compassion provided. Information was sparse until I spoke with the doctor. I realize covid adds to the communication issue but am very concerned when my pets are in and even more so since I can’t be with them and don’t know if my comments are relayed. I’ve been coming to this practice since it’s beginning and want to continue but at times I feel customer service is very limited in some ways. I do not feel that way about the care, it is good, just mainly communication.

Chester and Ollie’s vet is fantastic and always takes time to explain things! I’m very pleased with the service we’ve received here!

My only complaint was that I was not told that I would have a well animal check fee when I had to have my dog get a vaccination for his grooming. I was fine paying the charge, just disappointed it wasn t mentioned when I was double checking the cost. Also, the groom was wonderful! My little guy looks so cute with his short cut.

Due to the circumstances I was impressed with the friendliness and care my pet an I were given. Will look forward to our next visit with you.

Dr. Haban was amazing in the consultation for the surgery for my dog. And Dr. Elliott was amazing for the actual surgery! Roni was super sweet during all of the phone calls and emails I exchanged with her. Thank you for everything Ames Pet Hospital!!

Being new to the area i was so glad to find a good vet for my dogs. The staff was so friendly and attentive.
