I came in with a sudden problem, my mastiff suffering profound weakness in the rear, and staff and Dr Rogers were able to work me in with little delay. She spent quite a bit of time on observing and physically handling my dog in an effort to narrow down the problem which is apparently neurological. She was respectful and gentle with my timid dog, gave me a full explanation of the choices where we could go from here, and prescribed a new anti-inflammatory. (And, within 24 hours of the new medication and the prescribed rest, my dog is showing definite improvement, so this may not be the end of the road for her after all. We hope!) I was grateful for all this, and it is consistent with my nearly 30 years of experience taking my dogs to Jacksonville Vet. All the staff: techs, reception, and vets, are knowledgeable and caring. When people ask me about a vet in the area, I recommend Jacksonville Vet.

I am not really sure why I was charged for this appointment as Finn was there to have a wire removed from his jaw that got broken during teeth extraction….. this war not a situation I could just leave as it was messing with him opening and closing his mouth. We tried to do it earlier but the jaw had not healed. He is 13 years old so I was just going to leave it until the problem arose with opening and closing his mouth. Soo why was I charged $262.97???
