Usually everything is great when I go to an event. I was using a gentle lead with my dog. One of the staff was visible upset over my gentle lead. I have a pitbull who is generally profiled to be an aggressive dog due to her breed. I use the gentle lead because she gets so excited to meet new people even with the training I have put her through and I don’t want to make anyone nervous because of her. The lady voiced that she believed my dog didn’t like her gentle lead and when I tried to explain why I used the gentle lead. She seem annoyed. They took my dog and when they bought her back out magically the gentle lead was off. Another staff member awkwardly told me the gentle lead accidental fell off and walked away. I have no problem with someone having a different opinion then me with the gentle lead or even if someone has knowledge they would like to share about it. I didn’t appreciate the rudeness or the judgement. She could have easily explained her issue with it and not decided among herself to remove the gentle lead.

The drive-thru drop off and pick up were great! Sometimes going to the vet can be a stressful experience if other pets are not friendly or leashed, etc.

My appointment was for basic dog vaccines. One of my dogs was having a hard time during the heartworm test so the employee brought her to my car and informed me I would need to purchase trazadone and come back another day. I was never asked if I could provide assistance and instead only provided a drug route. I pushed and did ultimately end up going inside with my dog and she was completely calm. Disappointing the most basic and sensible option was offered and it was an upsell to buy meds. I was also told I would get a call and I requested an email with updated heartworm information. In the several years I’ve come for vaccines I have never received a call with results which is incredibly frustrating that I have to take additional steps rather than your staff completing the transaction. The only reason I return is the pricing otherwise I would take my business elsewhere, especially after this experience.

Generally, I like to support Pet Resource Center of Kansas City because you all provide a valuable resource to the community. I have brought many cats your way and always pay full price to help support your mission. However, as a consistent feral cat trapper, I always have to take a day off to bring animals in for your services because the process is so inefficient. This most recent time I arrived at my appointment time to drop off and waited nearly two hours past that time for someone to come out to the car. All the cars behind me were visited first and were stuck waiting too. Same situation at pick up and basically every time I’m there. Once, I waited hours to pay an invoice after being instructed to wait in the waiting room. I can’t afford to keep taking PTO to use this service, when I could go elsewhere for similar feral cat prices that don’t waste an entire day. I love y’all and the work you do, but it’s getting ridiculous
