I love Dr. Bodenheimer but was shocked by the price increase for basic vaccinations and was surprised that my dogs were not weighed before receiving them. I would like to suggest that you inform your clients at the time when the appointments or via email that prices are increasing so they can make informed decisions. I cannot afford your clinic anymore and am saddened after 20 years with Dr. B and Dr. P that I feel unstable and scared about my future ability to afford to keep pets because of skyrocketing veterinary costs. I also suggest educating your staff about any policy changes. I specifically ASKED about continuing to receive my Heardgard via Vets First Choice and was told by a staff member at time of making the appointment that you indeed still provide this service. Once I was in the exam room, I was told you do not. I was then given a written prescription written for only 6 months instead of 12 as requested. When asking for a corrected one, I was told it was all taken care of and the prescription was called into my pharmacy. I asked to please make sure and she came back and said no, in fact it wasn t. I asked if it could be sent directly to them and she said no, it s against our policy . I find that policy is customer UNFRIENDLY especially after I spent $430.00 for a vet visit the day before. Disgraceful.
